Some people might find the idea of having to combine your home office and guest room annoying and not ideal. But I find taking up an entire room just for your desk to be a little wasteful. Unless your work requires you to have a lot more space. But in this client’s case, she is a photographer (the photographer for most of my images on this site actually) so she can function very well with just a small desk and a computer. And who doesn’t want a cozy place for naps near by at all times!?
This home office +guest room gives me serious motivation to want to hang out at that desk. How many people can actually say that about their work space?
Confession – this space once functioned as the client’s dining room. She had this beautiful chandelier over her dining room table. Once we made the switch, the chandelier fit so well that we decided to keep it!
Storage that also doubles as a seat is a great way to keep the office + guest room combo going.
Being that this was once a dining room, it opens up into the client’s living room. So just looking in, you only see the day bed and that beautiful chandelier. Great for those messy desk days.
The more pillows the better! Love all of the different shades and textures.
